Show and Tell

Meetings Show and Tell Officers Events

The segment after the business portion of our meetings is Show and Tell. Members and guests bring interesting items to show to the assembled crowd. Sometimes they can tell us what it is and other interesting facts. As many times as not they are asking if anyone knows what it is. Come to one of our meetings and bring something to show.

Ira Reynolds regularly brings us something unique. He used to work as an electrician in the depot and on the trains. He often has interesting stories to relate.
Cal shows us a guest register from the Eagle Hotel (now Lakey's). The first entry is dated July 26 1905. This was donated to the society by Marsha Langfort.
Don shows us a odd artifact possibly used in a lodge or social club.
Members look on as a flexible wood plane (for curved surfaces) is shown.
A blue print of the rail lines, roundhouses and buildings of the depot. Drawing is from 1918 or 1913 and was donated by D. Scales of Susquehanna.
