Our Museum

Our museum is closed until we are able to find another location. The leaks in the roof, that were not fixed by the building's owner, prevented us from staying in that location. We are currently looking for another location to reopen the museum. If you have any ideas or sugestions please contact us. We are looking for a building were a museum can be loacated on the first floor, allowing handicaped access. The location needs to provide sufficient parking. Our old museum ocupied about 2400 square feet, but more space means more displays. We would prefer to own the building as the problems of leasing became real when we had no control over the condition of the building (roof), and had to close.

We were very proud of the displays in our museum. The museum helps the society fulfill its primary purpose of preserving items of historical significance and educating the public about this area's history. To carry out this mission we do need one thing, you. Yes, without visitors the educational aspect of the displays just does not work. Admission was free. We have a small reminiscence of the items on display. Click on the buttons below to view the different aspects of the displays we have. If this tickles your interest please help us reopen the museum. Our meetings occur on the third Thursday of the month, February through November, in the Susquehanna Depot Borough Building.
