Susquehanna Depot Area
Historical Society

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and education of the history of Susquehanna Depot and the towns that surround (and supported) it. The towns are located in the Northeast corner of Susquehanna County. We used to have a museum in the town of Susquehanna. We had to close it because of leaks in the roof that the landlord would not fix. We are currently looking for another location so that the museum can be re-opened.

Check out our forum provided by the Borough of Susquehanna Depot

We have our meetings on the third Thursday of the month, February through November at 7pm. The public is invited. Most meetings consist of a short business section followed by a "Show and Tell" session, and sometimes, a speaker of local interest. This is often followed by refreshments. We meet in the Susquehanna Depot Borough Hall.

Our museum used to contain many historical photos, maps and artifacts collected from all over the North East corner of the county. We had old business listings and other relevant books. We also had displays of hand made tools, railroad artifacts, and folk art.
